Update: Like my multi-tracked covers? You might enjoy my original compositions, also multi-tracked, higher quality recording. Check them out on my profile.

I'm back at my parents' house for summer break from college, so all I've been doing these past few days is youtube covers, which suits me fine. This is perhaps BFF's most finely-composed song, and one of the highlights from their final album. I highly recommend the live version that they played on their reunion concert, which is available on Youtube. It's even better than the studio version.

I recorded this on my ZOOM PS-04 handheld recording studio. I programmed the drum and bass tracks on it (It has drum and bass machine built in) and recorded these on the four tracks:
1. Piano
2. Lead Vocals/Vocal Harmony/Lead Trumpet
3. Backup Vocals/Vocal Harmony/Trumpet Harmony
4. Vocal Harmony/French Horn

This was great fun to record, and I'm pretty pleased how it turned out. Enjoy!

  • Ok nice i realy like the drum sounds from Zoom very powerful.

have you ever used the mastering effect?

    are you from England?

  • @THRASHTILDEATH yeah, the drums are good, there are a few different sets so its easy to find drum sounds you like.

I never used the mastering because i couldn't figure it out. I intend to learn it someday.

i'm not from england, but my parents are, i was born in USA

  • hehe cool you record on the ps04 tell me isnt it hard to use? its so mini?

  • @THRASHTILDEATH Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy and fast. But it has a lot of options and not a lot of buttons, so yeah, it can be very annoying to get used to. But it's not too bad.

  • Nice job! I really liked the layered horns. I wish I knew how to make a drum track.
