If customer service hasn't told you yet...I imagine after two years they have...the poo crushing ball is nothing other than a super bouncy ball. Get a good bouncy ball out of one of those 25 cent vending machines and pop that bad boy in there. I have four using one CG. They all eat on a schedule since one is diabetic, no issues with the box here except the occasional water sensor deal.

Dude... your not using the device correctly. We have the same thing... if you use the lime/grime cleaning insert box thingy and run a cycle it cleans all the crap out of the pipes and filters. So then you dont have to worry about any clogs, the reason you have huge piles of ass pumpage (lol) is because it might have a clog. Ours works justtt fine and we have the same looking thing inside of it.

I'm sorry, but how in the h3ll do you have a problem of this magnitude for THAT LONG without NOTICING it??? This is CLEARLY an OPERATOR ERROR. I've had ZERO problems with BOTH of the units in our house, and customer service has been more than helpful any time I've called them with any questions. Did YOU call??

Dude, you are a moron. We have had one for almost two years now, and althought they can be tempermental, it always removes the waste as it should. You dumped that crap in there. You realize you have to hook it to a water supply and a waste water supply, right?

Why don't you just rain your cat to go on the loo search for the litter kwitter on ebay and type it in on hee and you'll see how it works it's alot better than that piece of crap :O Trust me it works im training my kittes to go on the loo :P ;) good luck!!!!! ;D

My sister and I got a Cat Genie about a month ago. From the very beginning there is this stench whenever we run the cleaning cycle. It stopped working a few days ago and then clogged up the toilet (which we flush at least once a day).
As an added bonus, one of our cats refuses to use it.

i'm sorry but it looks like you just put all that shit into the catgenie from a litterbox. And you have litter in there not the granules they don't look like that at all. Or if you mixed cat litter with the cat granules that might have something to do with it not working.

@PaRTYriTEheRE To all naysayers, and anyone aspiring to debunk this according to how the hoses look in the video, what the s*** looks like, or what you believe should be there, you're wrong. I followed the instructions to a T. The plastic granules are what you see. I'm happy that some have got a few laughs out of the video, and it was set on YouTube not to bash CatGenie (although it sure as hell sounds like that's what I'm doing) but for me to have a place to vent. Those are plastic granules

do you have to hook up the cat box to a water line and does it have to plug in to a electrical outlet to run?

@army7989 Yes, of course if needs power and the water line, and to all asking, I believe it was the earlier model, but it's been a while, and it was a gift at the time.

A slight urine smell during the blow drying step, but that goes away after completion. Lastly, use Cate Mode. It cleans more often and is the most efficient!!!

Actually bud, The unit had been moved from it's original location to somewhere I could work on it more easily. The tangled mess you see is not how it was positioned. There was no green ball mentioned in the manual, nor did it come with the packaging. I did contact customer service recently for my friend whom I mentioned before and they said nothing about a green ball when I told them this was the second time I have had this problem. I also do not recall a Cate Mode, just 1-4 times a day.
