  • ken tamplin rocks. he is my vocal coach and with out him i would be lost. like he sees the proof is in the pudding, check him out. ul be amazed

  • ken tamplin.

With all respect, he's got a powerful voice - similar to the Adam character at last year's idol - but he's displaying a heavily layered studio product when he presents himself as just singing along with background vocal/rythm tracks.

  • Understadable opinion and one I would say may be more sound than my own. I am not trained and do not have a coach to compare against other that the other vids i've seen on here so far. From what i've seen online so far here on youtube... he is the BEST. You coach though, may very-well be better as you've indicated. Would love to see him on youtube :-p

  • Guys, check out ken tamplin.

He's the real deal. Search his vocal acadmey on you tube.

    He's the real deal.

  • I do have a Estill teacher and know all of this but I'm communicating to students whom most need the most simple explanation possible with terms that are easily understood. These videos were never intended for teachers such as yourself but for students what to be able to sing better right now. Thanks for your comments.

  • He cares but he is blinkered by the SLS method from what I can tell. The difference between a good coach (like this guy) and an amazing coach (like mine) is that they have a watertight knowledge of the latest terminology, the full physiognomy of the voice and the related muscles in the body and their practice is based on EVIDENCE from observation of the laryngeal function.

People who talk about the diaphragm (no sensory feedback)or 'zipping' the cords should be viewed with caution.

  • This guy knows what he's talking about. Good information here for anyone looking for lessons. You always want to choose the best type of coach for your level of experience and if you do not, both your talents and wallet will always be wasted.
