Went to break in my newly built 6.8SPC upper and bumped into a few friends attending the shooting fair who got to fire a few of my custom toys I pieced together:
1) Bushmaster lower with 2-stage NM trigger (Bill Springfield trigger job), Magpul UBR stock, Magpul grip, White Oak Armament 18" Varmint barrel with full length fluting done by Compass Lake Engineering, Smith Enterprise Vortex Flash Hider, Troy V-Tac free float hand guard, Leupold Mark 4 scope with M1 Turrets and Mil-Dot reticle, Larue LT-104 scope mount, Rock River Arms upper receiver. Ammo=hand loads. ***Later found that scope was off by 1" high and 3/4" Left at 100 yards***
2) Rock River Arms lower with single stage trigger (Bill Springfield's trigger job), Magpul MOE stock, Magpul grip, Magpul B.A.D. lever, White Oak Armament 16" barrel, Smith Enterprise Vortex Flash Hider, Troy TRX Extreme 13" free float forearm, Trijicon ACOG RCO in Larue RCO mount, Magpul rear and front BUIS, Yankee Hill Upper receiver, Ammo=Hand Loads
Besides possible handload / zero issues, if they were setting dope at 250 yards or holding off for 250 yards, hits were a bit high also because as measured from lane 84/85 the swingers are at 235 yards not 250 yards. Small difference in 5.56 / .223 but still shows up on hits especially with a good rifle with good magnification. Looks like a fun day of shooting and some nice rifles! :)
