i found a way around the over priced studio quilty equipment for pod casting and gameing videos!. im cheap... i mean really cheap.

i could pay $40-$60 for shock mount
+$20 got s pop filter
+$20 for a mic stand.

or i can make all of the above for only $15!

i made the mic stand out of a 1/2 cast iron pipe floor flange,
4 inch of 1/2 inch cast iron pipe (threaded on both ends)
a 1/2 inch cast cap/nipple or whatever those things are called
3 foot of flexible yet stiff electrical wiring @ 50 cents a foot
4" Embroidery Hoop, 1/4 yard of (fabric that's like woman's stockings) @ $5 a yard
spare rubber bands,
a 4 inch PVP piping coupler cut off 1 inch sliver of it.
a half decent mic. a rock-band mic does well!
and about 2 hours of my time!
