Nice work! The scenery looks like a slightly modified demo scene that comes with Artifex Terra, a free Ogre based terrain editor, you find it if you google for "Artifex Terra 3D" . Collision detection seems to be done with MOC, can be found via google code if you search for "minimal ogre collision toolkit". Grass density map is a grayscale image that is is produced by Artifexe's grass painting function: the darker the more grass the lighter less or 0 grass. Hope that helps. Johann

@kaotiklabs Hello. Forgive me for being a noob, but what is a density map? Also, would you prefer Ogre or DirectX when it comes to advanced models, shaders, etc., so which one is "faster"?

Roads are just a combination of ground texture maps and grass density maps.
