Read the deshaker guide
Change all the settings to match the above dialog, click on Pass 1 and go back to the main VirtualDub screen. Rewind and play to output. Return to the Deshaker dialog, click on Pass 2, go back to the main VirtualDub screen, and save the video.

Also how do you save the videos in high quality, when i save the video it is very small and very bad quality?

Did you use virtualdub's deshaker? if so what settings did you use for the 2 passes?

i find when i use this the final video zooms in or you can see the border why does'nt your video do this

@15Reading I use Adaptive Zoom as Edge Compensation method and "Use previous and future frames to fill in borders" from settings dialog. This fixes some border issues but with very shaky footage you will still get some borders or at least weird looking artifacts. You could try to set the Edge Compensation to something other. Check the link in desc for more info about different settings.
