  • Religion is part of our basic makeup. Every society on earth has a religious element, even when the state tries it best to ban it. Religious faith will never disappear. Even people who claim to be an atheist worship something. Sex, money, power, food, the state, the trees, animals, their penis or something as foolish as 'the arts'. When people allow something to lead them around that something becomes their god and they worship it. Religion is here to stay whether you like it or not.

    God bless.

  • @torrents4u2c Humans dislike the discomfort of not knowing the answer to something. The concept of any deity plays a large part when no answer is apparent to us. It's not out of necessity, tho I know you wish it were.

It sounds like projection of your own need for worship. Just because the Yahweh character isn't the most important thing in my life, doesn't mean any of the things you mentioned are.Reverence towards a character as if it were real is a negative thing.Find value in reality instead.

  • @franciszek8D (Please read below first) If you'd say that "immoral people commit crimes regardless of religious belief" that would be a true statement, unfortunately in multiple posts you were attempting to pull a stunt where you flat out said, more or less, "atheism is the leading cause of violence and immorality", clearly you were very wrong on this, as I have presented over and over. So with all this said, see the world the way it is, not the way you want it to be. Feed your mind.

  • @franciszek8D Truly moral humans do not commit crimes. Do not blame non-religious people's actions on lack of religion. Sounds familiar? The religious take a high moral ground as if they were any better than all else. I submit to you that they are worse since they do no think for themselves, rather prefer being spoon-fed dogma. Please stop trying to say that lack of religion leads to moral corruption, again as per my previous post, statistics prove otherwise.

Truly Religious people usually do not commit crimes. If they do then they are not truly religious. Hitler, Stalin And many others were baptised Christians, who later became criminals. Some people claim to be religious or use religious ideals for some reason. Sometimes even Hitler invoke publicly the name Of God to make a good impression. In the same time he did everything to destroy all truly religious people. Do not blame Christians for crimes commited by those who purposely mi

  • @franciszek8D Your view of the word is a strange one. I will direct you toward the Scandinavian countries. Some of the least religious people in the world. Low crime (many crimes committed are done by foreigners, as a matter of fact recently the Dutch closed 2 prisons due to lack of inmates), high happiness, high culture. If not for the influx of religious immigrants there would be next to no crime. Statistics do not lie and they clearly show that the more religious a country is the more crime.

Fear And love are like two legs which are necessary to go along.

Most People are not saints. For some maybe love is enough to be good And honest. Unfortunately for majority love is not enough.

Imagine what life would be if no Police around? Why do we need Police? Maybe not for you and not for me. I myself would never harm another human being or animal. Unfortunately, from my experience, for majority Of mankind Police is necessary. Most people would take adventages to use or har

  • @franciszek8D I thank you for being honest enough to admit your motives for being a good person. Fear. It is fear that drives you and your religious friends. I really like how you use the word love to describe how they feel about god with the word punishment being used in the next sentence. Please re-read what you wrote and pretend that someone else wrote it...what do you see?

I do good without hoping for any rewards.Who is the more honest person here? Your situation sounds like a business deal.

  • Immortalis1001

What I wanted to prove that religious people, truly religious - not Muslim or Christian radicals - have additional motif to do good, because they love God and hope for reward from Him. They avoid evil because they believe that they may be punished by God. As for me I am sure that faith helps me a lot. Without faith I would be more selfish and not willing to help and serve people around me. I believe that the world without truly religious people will be much more unjust and cruel

  • @franciszek8D I see, silly me! So when a religious person performs an evil act they perverted the word of God but then when a non-believer performs evil acts they do it because they are godless, they do not fear god, and clearly NOT because they simply are just as morally corrupt just as the evil-doing religious people. Sir, do you even realize how biased and illogical you are? Also, doing good deeds due to fear of God??? I do many good deeds WITHOUT any religion or fear. Compassion ≠ religion.

  • Immortalis 1001

What I wanted to say that religion, divine commandments forbade killing, stealing and so on. Truly religious people fear God and His punishment and therefore have a strong motif to do good and avoid evil.

Stalin, Hitler did not believe in God's punishment.

It is true that Christians and Muslims in time did some evil deeds. Why? They perverted idea of God or in reality they used God to their own ends.

  • @franciszek8D Communists in Russia (living in fear of Stalin who was a paranoid psychopath) did not kill their countrymen in the name of religion or in the name of atheism. Their crimes had NOTHING to do with atheism. Stalin saw an enemy in just about everyone thus people were imprisoned, killed or went to Siberia to die. So please, if you are going to make a statement, be sure that you do not make it from ignorance. Religion = man-made feelgood fables for the weak minded.
