It's been a year since the last Blackpool video, and it felt even longer since I saw everyone. It was great meeting all my old friends and making new ones too; this convention was one of my favourites. Everyone seemed so relaxed and free, it was just great to have the time to session again.

Though Allan decided not to make a Blackpool video at first, he did bring his Canon 7D. With it, he took small video shots at various times at the convention. While the end result wasn't the same as previous dairy-like Blackpool videos, Allan wanted to try a different style of production. I think it worked, especially with the little footage he had - much props to him.

On behalf of all Blackpool attendees, I hope you enjoy the video and have as much fun watching it as we did attending. It was a blast - bring on 2011!

See you next year,
Jordan

  • Whats Blackpool??

  • @allanhagen I was just wondering- How did the name "Papercuts" come about?

  • @J0Nramirez Well spotted!

Unfortunately it's not the case, as Papercuts hadn't been shot at the time this was edited. It is indeed the same suit, though. Funfact: The day after we got home from this Blackpool convention, Chris and I went in the studio and shot some test footage for Papercuts. It eventually became the "The D&D Archive performed by Chris"-thingy.

  • @J0Nramirez ahh.

  • @08budokai80 When the shot of Chris doing the doubled pirouette comes on, you see he is wearing the same suit as he was in the Papercuts DVD, and it looks like the same background. I'm just guessing Allan slipped that in there, but I can't be for sure. Ha.

  • @J0Nramirez huh?

  • Holy Shit. I just realized something (i think). The pirouette double at 2:29 is from Papercuts!

  • @josiewhales same!!

  • still watch this video; when i need some inspiration

  • great vid :D love it
