Thank you for posting this. This season was the last season for which my father was alive. He so enjoyed watching Jerry Rice learn to dance... starting from no real discernable dance skills and working his way up to a solid presenter - not a brilliant dancer like Mario Lopez or Kristi Yamaguchi but solid. Jerry was a joy to watch. I'm so glad he still comes back for Dance Center - and this year, with glitter!

Okay. Were the judges just softer in their scores back then? Are they always softer in scoring in the finales? I'm sorry. But this performance wasn't all that much. I don't get it. People say Bristol Palin was terrible this year. Does anybody look at this?

@airneri The "best"dancer according to who? People who know nothing about dance, like you? Which is obvious. Stacy wasn't the best dancer either so make a point. The couple that are SUPPOSED to win are the ones with ONE pro and one NON-PRO, not two people that have had PRO training.

This performance is my ALL TIME FAVORITE number in Dancing with the Stars history! I've watched this a hundred times and always find something new. Anna Trebunskaya is the greatest dancer in history. She was fully present in every single moment. I can't believe she teaches classes here in L.A!!! We're so lucky to have her.

I have to disagree. Most successful figure skaters are actually horrible dancers. Katia Gordeeva talks about it in her book. She and her first husband did not even know how to waltz at their wedding.

It's what makes the show so popular, the unpredictability of it all...the best dancers don't always win.
