Enjoy parts of a nighttime classic episode of Hollywood Squares from 1968. Thanks friends from Germany and Austria (and the Taybor)for sending this around the world. Morey Amsterdam costarred with RoseMarie on the Dick van Dyke show in the early 1960's. Barbara Bain guest-starred with them in one episode. She co-starred with then husband Martin Landau on Mission: Impossible from 1966-1969.

  • Where's Paul Lynde? The man who made this game show famous.

  • @Jiltedin2007 He came later (see Simon5005) in the mid 70's. People forget that Marty Allen was one of the first center squares.

  • Never heard of Rossi.... Pop Singer, I guess..

  • He and Marty Allen were a comedy team.

  • Didn't Martin and Barbara attend the University of Illinois?

  • Yes, I believe that Barbara Bain did attend U. of Illinois. I think her degree was sociology. Martin Landau did not go there.

  • This was back in the days when the show was still subdued and tame. It didn't really get rowdy and racy until the mid 70's when Paul Lynde occupied the center square.

  • Wasn't Wally Cox great? I remember my grandmother always had this on in the early 70's. I like watching Wally now on old Twilight Zones on Netflix. Barbara Bain was a hottie. I too miss Paul Lynde. He was the best on there.

  • im not sure why people only think of paul lynde.. this was when real talent was on the show. not just c list entertainers...

  • @linuscomet The first thing that comes to mind when I think of the Hollywood Squares is Paul Lynde.

  • bad camera work

  • Not all that ironic for a game show to ask a question about a very well-known public figure and presidential candidate.

  • Ironic that there was a question about Bobby Kennedy and the number of children he had (10). This show was taped the year of his shooting death.

  • i miss Wally Cox,he was my all time favorite celeb on HS. RIP Wally we all miss you:(
