so is the vanguard a better rifle has less kick to it than the stevens
-
stevens 200 is the original savage 110
so theres not much difference except that the 110 has a wood stock (it would be a walk in the park to put a wood stock on a stevens)

-
@mranderson2323 thanks but im 16 now squating 300 lbs and benching250 so i got a weatherby 270 check it out

@hookincatfish1 i know this is probably too late, but if you're looking for a gun for a fifteen year old, go with a .243 It's deadly accurate at well over 300 yards and the recoil is very minimal. the stevens 200 comes in this caliber too. I'm seventeen and have been shooting a .243 since i was 12. killed several deer with it and you can buy 55 grain rounds if you're going for varmints as well.

How does this rifle group?
-
@DipinAllDay thanks

@eatlead84 not very im left eye dominate and i shoot fine right handed shoot how its comfortable
What were they shooting before?
I find the rifle is too light, starts to hurt a bit after 25 rounds.
lots of jump, less than a 30-06, in recoil, if I could start over again I would have gone with the Savage 110 in 25-06 or 308, as it stands now I am going to get the rifle pillar bedded and put in a timney trigger and have it adjusted to 2.5 lbs.

it took me some time to get used to shooting lefty, but now am pretty good at it. I can shoot with both eyes open which is great for shooting ducks. I can shoot either left or right now fairly accurately. you can aquire a target better when you shoot with your dominate eye. Just keep praticeing and you'll get it.
