  • @SettingSun77 completely agree with you. he was like aqib jaaved - not much pace but great leg cutters and outswingers

  • @Crkt4Eva I think if Bicknell had more pace, he would have played a lot more because we became obsessed with finding faster bowlers. I think we still have that obsession actually. When he came back for a couple of tests against South Africa a few years ago, he proved that great swing bowling doesn't necessarily need great pace, and he really should have played more for England, I agree. Pretty decent lower order batsman too.

  • Bicknell was a great player, Butcher was not.

  • @SouthyA - YES!, Martin Bicknell (11:48) was a very underrated English bowler who should defnitely have played more Tests, he only played a subtle 4 Test matches for England, two in '93 & two in '03!

  • Butcher had some pace haha

  • Martin Bicknell shoul have played in more Tests
