New Labour have passed without consultation a law that gives the sh1t-kicker UK police the freedom to arrest photographers under bullshit terrorism laws. The UK's police state expands yet further, section 76 of terrorism act.

You can't even accidentally photograph the police in your photograph or you will be arrested. A great way for silencing the press when demonstrations occur.

Those that are willing to give up freedom for bullshit protection from the state deserve and will get no freedom or democracy.

Recorded from BBC London News, 16 February 2009.

  • The "News" repeaters don't care. They aren't journalists nor are they even reporters.

They get their script and they are paid to act surprised when they deliver the state approved programming on the tell lie vision

If we had honest journalism & reporting they would be breaking news stories of coming corruption instead of telling us the history of already past corrupt activities.

All they are is apologists. A conduit to feed you lies about look to the future, don't dwell on the past corruption

  • I fear you are correct

  • This is also happens in China and the West complained so much about it yet they've introduced the exact same law here in the UK!

  • i might want to carry a knife,

    because im a scout

    or tools for a builder

or a camera if im a reporter

or if your a politician you need a tool to supress the people

if someone wants to take your camera bloody well defend yourself! its not up to them

  • yes! one year later the protesters have been proven right! The polis dont need new laws, just to obey and enforce the ones we already we have, like Treason for example.

  • it aint just going to be journos... if ur an observer who goes to demos to film on the protestors side-youve already probably been nicked and released without charge with ur camera broken or wiped---now theyve got a legal basis to dress that up in. My only question now is what colour ink do you all want the barcode tattoos on our necks to be???

  • So true, I could'nt have put it better.
