WELSHPOOL & LLANFAIR LIGHT RAILWAY - RESITA loco newly arrived this month was seen at the weekend gala in September.
After arriving back in Welshpool Raven Square I waited for the 4:32 train to leave before leaving on my four hour journey home.
The loco was to be the Resita, the railway's newest steam locomotive, 764.425 (No.19 in the W&L numbering system), which is now available for traffic having successfully passed her final tests and examinations in this country during the first half of July.
The loco from my train Hunslet, No. 14 (SLR No. 85) was to have followed, light-engine. However the Resita had developed a problem with its steam lubricator (a part having reportedly fallen off) and so in case of any problems the Hunslet ran as a back-up coupled behind the Romanian loco.
This is my last few minutes of video before leaving.
