Completely Remove Firefox From Windows XP

I was just wondering if you have to go through this step as well:

Remove all registry entries of Firefox with the help of Regedit application. Launch Regedit(Start-->Run-->Regedit) and search for all the entries containing the text Firefox or Mozilla and delete them.

I have a question. I removed mozilla firefox from add/remove programs and i want to reinstall this. But everytime i try it says i need to restart my computer to finish removing the program, & thats where i am stuck. Why wont it let me reinstall it?

well, what if u press remove in add/remove and the it does nothing at all. when i press remove all it does is make the window blink and fire-fox doesn't even go to the persuader of un-installation. should i still try this or not. plz respond any1.
