Amazing in '88. Amazing now. Mike Pickering is a genius; the remixes have done him proud! Not sure of the Man City away kit packaging tho (MP is a City fan!). First heard this at the hac, then bought it on the North album (1988) and then the subsequent mixes from 1989 (promo sampler) and 1990 (Further Adventures of North). pure acid house manc style.
I love it when things come full circle...and all those who said 'A Certain Ratio' and the jazz funk scene was crap mid 80's ended up dancing their tits off to this late 80's...told ya so, ya so and so!
Wow the guy playing keys with glasses on;. was the lovely talented genius, Richie close. who died in the mid 90's. he was one reason why manchester was a musical success.
Yup! I'm amazed to see this too. I'm Richie's nephew... he is sadly missed. He's the one playing the piano line on the Emulator II. A lovely guy and a real talent!
