  • I think the idea is to shut down two engines in the cruise to extend patrol time - they do it with the P-3 Orion

  • russians and japanese people buid the coolest and strange aircrafts

  • P-8 of US Navy developing it at present is a twin-engined plane.

It seems to have difficulty in the development even if it has the rich US Navy of the experience and Boeing and does.

Flight in low altitude, low speed in the jet plane of a twin-engined seems technically to be difficult.

Incidentally, Japan will adopt these 80 airplanes.

  • @93SS lol in the world only fk chinese are copy , u 100% wrong ! japan and other country are not like the fk chinese !

  • it's that mini A380 right?

  • @theworacle But in a jet, it has huge drag since it is relatively bigger than turboprop and cannot be feathered.

I think reson is reliability to fly very long mission with full load and not being forced to drop anything if one engine fails.

  • Looks like a Convair 880

  • @shamk9 how is it a strange aircraft, it just looks like a commericial aircraft

  • nice

  • @shamk9 and the uglyestones !! ajjaja horrible..

  • @SuperArcherSS Nimrod looks like something out of Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis'

  • @joachim1066 Only if Japan drops this PC policy crap of not exporting arms overseas. Japan has long supported various US war efforts since the end of WWII in the form of money, manufacturing, land and labour.

  • British people make far more strange and cool aircrafts.Like Nimrod.
