  • I found one of these for $125 and it needs restored but has compression. Is it worth it?

  • well from what iv heard thats about what a good restorable 72 sells for. mine was given to me. id try and haggle the price down a bit makes it feel like you really did good in the end! so is it worth it. thats your choice. how bad do you want it. but that price sounds fair

  • Great running engine! Glad you got it going!

  • thanx

  • Alot of people collect Maytag engines. These are cool. The opposed cylinders permit them both firing at the same time without major vibration. In my engine studies, 2-cycle engines can fire cylinders singley only up to 3 cylinders! 4 and more the engines fire two or more cylinders at once. A 4 cylinder 2-cyle engine fires like a pair of 2-cylinder engines.

  • i turned my parts engine into a light! but our only other opposed twin is the 16hp onan that powers our case 446

  • hell yeah! nice job! sounds kinda like it has the hiccups lol

  • Lots of them they have very little vibration and run smoother than the single cylinder maytags. my brother has a single cyl model 92 maytag.

  • there used to be 2 maytag washers in my great grandfathers barn missing the engines. but they were too big for us to fit in the all ready full truck befor the auction took place! bummer

  • Wow! I never knew they made a twin cylinder model!
