My friend and I are looking to do this. What an amazing adventure to watch. Well done for filming it so well. I can't wait to do it perhaps.

mate how much did this cost between you in petrol??
doing the rally this summer, pretty similar route to yours as well...

When we went in 2006 I think petrol in the UK was about 80p/l. Throughout Europe it worked out about 65p/l up until Turkey. Watch out for Turkey as petrol is at least twice that of UK for some reason. In Turkmenistan you just pay a fuel duty on arrival and then petrol costs about 20p to fill the car up! Then petrol is pretty cheap everywhere else from then on. Rough Calculation: say your car does 45mpg and avg fuel costs 60p/l so that's £500 you'll need for the trip of 10k miles. Have fun!

Good effort, nice one! (And belatedly I know, but: congratulations!) Great work on making the video too! I'm starting to get hooked on the idea of doing this...
Did the cars really make it that far with that few break-downs?? Seemed pretty reliable!
I love the part near the end where the car hits the only post for miles around!
How do you cope with different currencies in all those countries? Or do they all believe in US dollars/Euros?
Anyways, good work!!

They take US dollars everywhere so it seems! They will look at you gone off should you show them Sterling, though!
Cheers for the comment!
