The O.C. best music moment #30 - "The West Coast"

A surprising twist ending in the fourth season in episode S04E10 "The French Connection." In this episode, Summer gives back the wedding ring to Seth to take back their hasty proposal. Taylor's ex-French husband is in town promoting his book, and she just finished doing a show with him on TV, but Ryan left after he found out that Taylor lied about what he did so he wouldn't be embarassed in front of other intellectuals. Ryan comes back from the show and looks at a scrap book that Taylor put together of their relationship so far....and he....
The song is "The West Coast" by Jason Schwartzman.

it's like Taylor replaced Marissa after her death

She became summers best friend, ryans gf, and even lived with the coopers!

I love Taylor but personally she could not replace Marissa cooper

@emilian4o I think her whole development in the first two seasons was really okay. (alright, we can argue about the importance of her bi-phase, but I enjoyed it ;) ) but the whole stuff going on in season 3 was just too much in my opinion. actually, the whole season 3 was too much of drama in my opinion. too many things happened that were too dramatic.

however, marissa was just used to create drama in the end. she didn't deserve that. so I think her death was "a good thing".

@voluMzor it was definitely a part of the OC but I enjoyed the other qualitites of The OC much more than its great use of drama. and I felt that Marissa was overused for drama in the end XD

@TheBlah4444 she didn't actually replaced marissa as a person... she was a total different character! however, she helped ryan and summer to overcome marissa's death, and that's great I think. I loved taylor a lot more than marissa, to be honest. Marissa - IN THE END of course - was too much drama, and Ryan and her would never have been happy like that.
