I love this movie. It depicts how heartbreaking love can be, and how you can overcome it. I've never seen it as "male bashing". These women were involved with creeps, and they had the right to stand up to them. They had been walked over long enough.

Was this the movie where, at the beginning, a high-powered, successful, executive Black woman who did everything for her do nothing boyfriend sitting on the couch playing video games (new wardrobe, teeth fixed, found him a job, etc) and the only thing she wanted in return was a commitment? But when she asks, he reveals his turdiness, saying " Baby, why you putting so much pressure on me?" Powerful scene, whether it was in this movie or another.

This movie was the bomb...from Wesley making a cameo appearance to Loretta Devine and Gregory Hines flirting...this movie shows black women should never give up looking for the right one

Great movie on the value of friendship. Those women held each other together. The ironic thing is, they lectured each other on letting men use them, but each one did just that. We can always see it in other people, but not ourselves.

I hope you're kidding...if not... Please stop playing the victim! This movie is not anti black man in anyway. IT'S PRO BLACK WOMAN. There's no black woman sleeping around with some white guy or something so just stop (even if there was, that wouldn't be an issue). This movie is displaying the pride/troubles that WOMEN struggle with (through the eyes of black women) everyday.
