why don't you drink a cup of this beauty?

I just blow them out with a blow gun with a fanning tip. Blow the soot out, tap the filter gently on the ground a couple times and repeat until nothing else comes out. Works well, I've checked it with the differential pressure sensor readings. Just be sure to wear a face mask and goggles. And who gives a crap about some overpriced machine doing it, the soot just gets tossed in the trash and is still able to pollute groundwater and the air if stirred up.

@jurbssss That's the dealers trying to get the uninformed customer to pay for it.
He's done it well, maybe next time filter the water before it goes in the drain....

Very interesting!!! Did it really work cleaning the filter this way?
Seems like this one has a catalytic converter inside (or I'm wrong)?
Would this water cleaning oxidize the metals inside?

@TheMusicMan29 ...Nevere, There are places where the filter has to be clean with solvents in special machines.....
-
Engineers trying to keep a more clean environment and these people pollute the water..

did this method work?
big mistake,water treatment helps only for a while.

@dpfserviceireland
Was the cheaper option thought, made the filter last longer and that was over 6 months ago and its still all good.
Just saved spending £1500 at the time

yep it worked and its still going now, with no problems what so ever. And yes it is sort of the same honeycomb design inside of the filter and i think because the dpf was put straight back on the car after it was drained the exhaust heat made the water evaporate so oxidation was not able to occur
