Well done balloon - so many trash bags can take a lot of work to put together. It would make a nice R/C solar balloon if you can get a few servos, receiver, battery pack, and maybe an ESC and motor to power a fan as well.

I plan on getting a old camera that can contentiously record for a while and attaching it to the balloon. Although, once its down I dont see how it would be able to go back down with just a few servos. I plan making more videos of this too.

If you get a servo that has enough torque, you can make a sort of extended arm about 1-2 feet long so the servo can pull down a string attached to a vent at the top of the balloon. Basically you could use the controller to pull the servo all the way down which would move the arm down and pull the vent open to release air. After closing the vent, the balloon will slowly re-inflate but a motorized fan would make it go faster.

oh, yeah. i was going to add a vent on it, but I decided that the more simple it was the less that it could go wrong. To deflate i have the all three corners tied down with weights and the mouth of the balloon is on the top. The air naturally goes out. Although it takes about 25 minutes to deflate....
