  • Hey Vanhoutei! It's so nice to see someone who recognizes Barrios. Yes, I love classical guitar and many times the music you hear in my videos is my own!

  • hi Craedmg,

That's great that my videos are helping you during your vacation. Many people have the same problem as you.

They can understand, but they have difficulty speaking. It's really important to find some people to practise your speaking with. You can also learn a lot of the other person's culture that way too!!!

  • could be!

  • You are very welcome! Happy to be of some help!

  • Perfect..Perfect...Perfect

  • Oh, used to is used when in the past you've been accustomed to doing such an action.

  • They would use it in the kitchen.

  • I think they could use it to take off water.

  • Tell me the difference:

    I had $100 , i didn't buy the microwave

    I had $100 , i wouldn''t buy the microwave

    thanx

  • It's highly informative. ty

  • Dear Steve,

Is it correct to say we use "used to" for actions that we did in the past but we no longer do at the present time, and we use "would" for actions we repeatedly did in the past and we possibly do in the present as well?

Example: I used to play with my toys when I was a child. [=I'm an adult now and no longer play with my toys.]

My niece would play with her toys whenever we went to my grandma's. [= She probably still plays with her toys.]

    Cheers,

    Elley

  • yes. "used to" can also mean "accustomed to"
