the brushless motor should be number one truthfully...the brushed is a ball sucking piece of crap

Get the tail slider parts from the HBK3; you won't need the Extreme pulley. see my video. had both that motor and ESC; burned out. Alum rotor is nescessary saves broken plas parts, but get the microheli alum upper arms.

awesome video.
I think i'm ready to make some upgrades. I'm still flying with all factory parts, just having a hard time choosing the right stuff, so many ppl saying different things.
At the moment, my hbk is in a non fly condition, my battery only lasts literally 1:30 min, not enough to hover let alone get off the ground. I did have an accident with it, flew it into a bin, and then after some adjusting, I accidentally burnt out the esc.
thnx for any replies.

Thanks so much for answering my question and so quickly! I have one more for you though. Whats the highest ratted battery i can go with in this heli (as in 1800maH) and how much flight time can i expect to gain?
Hey, I have some problems with my king 2, I have a tail that spins uncontrollably, how can I fix that?

@PepsiRemix5, Could be several things, bad gyro, bad tail servo, improper position of the tail servo, fwd/rev switch in wrong position, or too much pitch on the main blades.
First, make sure the servo and gyro are working. You can do that by powering up then moving the tail back and forth in quick motions. If the servo responds to your hand movements then both are probably ok. Pay attention to which way the servo moves and what that is doing to the tail blades.

@PepsiRemix5, If the tail blades move in the proper direction to counteract your hand movements then the fwd/rev switch is in the correct position.
Next check the position of the servo on the boom. When you move the tail by hand, see that the servo and tail rotor have full motion and are not bottoming out one way or the other.
Once all that checks out look at your main rotor. If your heli spins to the left the tail may be getting over powered by too much main rotor pitch.

when you upgrade the motor do you have to upgrade from the stock battery also?

No, the stock battery will work fine. You'll need to change the plugs on the battery though.

my stock king 2 motor smoks a little after a 5 min hover, should i switch motors or is it the main shaft is bent?

The brushed motors do get really hot. Mine lasted only a few flights. Some last a long time. The brushless motors are nice. I would recommend the ESKY 3900 with the matching ESKY ESC. I used a Dynam ESC on one HBK2 and I'm not thrilled with it. I used the esky matched set on a other hbk2 and it's very smooth. Cost around $60.
If the shaft is bent you usually get a lot of vibration, not so much on the motor wear
