Adolescence is an exciting period of maturation that combines biological, behavioral and social changes, and brings with it an increased vulnerability in children. Families can use this window of opportunity to support their child's brain development, adjust the parent/child relationship and deepen family bonds. For some this may also include responding to behavioral and/or emotional changes in children. Dr. Ron E. Dahl, UC Berkeley Professor of Community Health and Human Development, describes how exciting advances in knowledge about adolescent brain development is providing unique insights to understanding the vulnerabilities that arise during adolescence. I'd rather hear what you have to say than to hear you talk about HOW you're going to say it! I don't need your outline, I want the information!
