Saw these guys live several times in LA in 1972 and then maybe 1972 also. Really enjoyed them. Think it was at the Long Beach theatre, small venue with great sound.
Gentlemen, gentlemen! Let us not throw jabs back and forth about where, or when, this wonderful sound emanated from. Both Americans and Australians share a common ancestry in ways. I love this rendition! These guys are great. They all rock superbly. Ross Wilson is a fine performer, indeed. Thanks for uploading this gem!
my first comment says it all and yep when you think of "the 50's" you think of tail fins chrome and jukeboxes and yep doo wop and doo wop was an American "thing" in case you haven't heard jingoism? get real man eh?
'We'? What year were you born, ishredu? A none to surprising outburst of hegemonic nationalism. Perhaps our antipodean perspective affords us a little more objectivity than specious jingoism.
