As CEO, and consumer advocate as I fly globally extensively: contact your Congressional reps in Senate and House and demand an investigation of ORGANOPHOSPHATES in the oil fumes. We can also boycott (those who want to keep our neurons) any plane except the Boeing 787 which solved the problem with filters and NYKO oil from France.

Money and litigation is all the industry responds to: get with it flying public.

reveal this fact. On the 787 page it explains how bleed air compression works and they say they are using a new filtration system on the 787 vs the lack of any filtration system previously. The bleed air is pumped into the cabin is not from the compression stage of the engine, it is from a turbine that is positioned ahead of the combustion section. Yes it still contains hydrocarbons etc- but it's not as horrible as it's made out to be. Sitting in traffic surrounded by trucks is worse.

The same reason you dont put your mouth around your muffler and breath in, the reason just leaving your car running in the garage has killed people inside.... same thing as on an airplane. Just open your horizon's a little. It is a problem, if you smell dirty/sweaty socks on board an aircraft it's happening to you.

I've seen parkinsons and MS develop from it so far... hope not to see much more.

And when everybody starts running around without thinking like a chicken with it's head cut off, they'll do so without realizing that doing this would effectively collapse the current airline industry and create a new one with about 1% of the required capacity for the next 20 years while boeing scrambled to make enough 787 for the entire planet to replace the tens of thousands of airliners in current service.
