METAL DOWN UNDER - Ruins

Episode 19: RUINS @ The Gaelic Theatre, Sydney 30/4/2011.

Featuring interview with vocalist/guitarist Alex Pope and drummer Dave Haley and live footage of 'The Sum Of Your Loss' and 'Cold Dark Sea'. Ruins are a black metal band from Hobart, Tasmania formed by Pope and Haley (the latter of Psycroptic fame) in 2000. As of 2011 the group has released three full length albums, the most recent being 'Front The Final Foes' (2009). The bands talks about the Tasmanian metal scene, why there is such a high level of 'elite' art there and also addresses the question of satan in black metal music.

This tour was headlined by THE AMENTA, with RUINS as the main support. OUROBOROS and AEON OF HORUS also played on the bill
