Europe & Islam: Whose Identity Crisis? A debate, Nov 2009

In a high-profile debate at the European Parliament in Brussels on 19th November 2009 which was organised by the British Council in partnership with the European Muslim Network as part of its Our Shared Europe project, six panelists discussed who it is with the identity crisis today - Europe, or Islam, or both? Panelists were Sajjad Karim MEP as the host, Pál Schmitt (Vice-President of the European Parliament), Daniel Hannan MEP, Chris Allen (Anti-Islamophobia advocate), Douglas Murray (Director, Centre for Social Cohesion) and Bashy Quraishy (Chair Advisory Council, European Network Against Racism).
