Schapelle Corby is an innocent Australian woman suffering a barbaric 20 years in an Indonesian prison cell.

Her nightmare had started when she landed in Bali for a holiday, to find 4kg of marijuana in her bag upon collection. From there she suffered the most appalling show trial: an affront to civilization. They refused to test the drugs for country of origin: if they were Indonesian they would have to release her. They refused to fingerprint or DNA. They refused to collect CCTV tape from the airport. They refused to allow her to question witnesses. It just went on and on.

To complete the gross abuse of human rights, they sentenced her to a barbaric 20 YEARS. She will never have kids, never see them play... and is now closing in on death.

Yet her government does nothing.

Artists for Schapelle is intended to tell the world about this atrocity. To use music to stop the governments brushing Schapelle's life under the carpet. To involve real people in the struggle to save her.

Paul Webster's beautiful song was one of the first penned to support her. It is haunting but describes the clear injustice in a compelling and stark manner.

  • No one but dumb and dumber think that Australians are taking marijuana to Bali for profit.Scahpelle was deliberately framed by the Indonesian Government to end Howard's reign of interference in Indonesian domestic affairs. Before Schapelle's arrest: "We damand they arrest Abu Bakr Bashir as the mastermind behind the Bali bombing" and "we will invade any neighbor who harbours terrorists". After Schapelle: "We cannot interfere in the sovereignty of another nation." Please investigate.

  • four out of four and we all think it makes no sense that she is in jail

  • Nothing about what happened to this poor woman makes any sense. It is an enormous and sickening miscarriage of justice.

  • What a perfect title to this song!

No, it makes no sense to me, nor to anyone who bothers to think for themselves.
