Everyone is quick to judge, but it is possible that they have quick connect couplings for all the fittings including exhaust, coolant, electrical and AC. Some of these couplings could have even been grouped together in one or two large connection manifolds making the job faster. So, the engine may be functional, we don't know because they didn't start it. Still impressive nonetheless.

Actually if you take a look at the G749 series of cargo trucks in the 50's they were designed to have the entire powertrain/brushguard/radiator­/transfer case assembly pulled as 1 whole unit for ease of service and replacement. Well over 3000lbs in weight, not a job for a dinky engine hoist. Anyway, with todays technology this sort of stuff is just plain possible. While the above was staged, still cool to watch.
