"Wing Chun" - a documentary sponsored by Shui On Land. The film shows how we can use Wing Chun and its philosophy to improve our daily life, as well as investigating its claims to be scientifically based.

Made in Hong Kong, China and Macau by an international production team, the documentary was directed by Seamus Walsh and produced by Bill Yip.

The film's narrator is Vincent Lo Hong Sui, Chairman of Shui On Land, who shares his story of how Wing Chun has informed both his business and personal life, helping him to become one of Hong Kong's most successful businessmen.

The star of the film is Master Lui Ming Fai, a student of Master Ho Kam Ming and descendant of the Great Grandmaster of Wing Chun, Ip Man. Master Lui takes us through the forms of Wing Chun as well as sharing his insight on it's elegance and practicality. The scientific testing of Wing Chun is provided by Dr. Justin Lee of Chinese University of Hong Kong.

I have a different opinion (but I won't insult). I have taken Tae Kwon Doe for a couple of years, and I have come to think that you are incorrect. Punching and kicking without getting punched or kicked may be mastery of Hand-to-hand combat, but doing so while looking good and demonstrating discipline is what adds the "art" part to Martial Arts. The full experience of martial arts is more about the philosophy and thoughtful nature required to do well, not just kicking more.

Well Bruce Lee; wherever you are, you was right. You said they'd argue on styles forever. You said they'd slander each other and be so arrogant to name call, to slander each style and argue about it. You was one smart guy!

No wonder you told them all to fk off, and you shut all your schools to just go and do your movies, and mentor people privately.

EVERYTHING Bruce Lee said would come to pass...has! The age in which students portray themselves as master.

    Arrogance will be their downfall.

Every style is effective against non-selfdefence practioners. Try your effectiveness in China.

i agree with you but i said that you haven't seek the philosophy of the martial art, so you don't understand how to use it.It isn't just learning the techniques. If you understand the philosophy of the martial art you are practising you then will be ready to use it, otherwise you just doing the techniques you learned. No feeling, no nothing.

If someone is determined to learn a martial art he won't forget his useful techniques. One who is determined to learn is supposed to practise what he has done.

Punching and kicking are only a general term for all body weapons and body techniques. The philosophical aspect does not interest me.

Liee Lee you are foolish if you cannot open your mind. There is no style that works but your own. Take what you can learn that is useful and discard what is not. Every "style" has something useful and unuseful. No exceptions. Find what works and what doesn't. Sound advice from Bruce Lee, a true combat genius. Even he saw the flaws of wing chun but he sure as hell learned a lot from it. Be flexible. Don't be stupid and ignorant
