no version compares with the original, version of the Stones will always be the best of all.

@pbakewel depends if youve got the sleeve.

pete played the bass on this one because john was on his honeymoon.

Yeh - sounds a bit quick n dirty - Picked this up on vinyl years ago - maybe worth sumthin ?

@K1SSMYGLASS aaactually, the members of the who say they found their sound when covering other music. so maybe the who is not the band for you. then again, maybe i don't know what i'm talking about. but i think i do.

@crazydanrowan Yup. No doubt about it. No one's even close.

Thanks. Always wanted to hear this. Understand JW was on his honeymoon, and not on it?
Big fan of The Who and The 'Stones here. For me this cover is better than thier take on "The Last Time". One would've expected more aggressive drumming on this track..

Pete Townshend plays bass on this track as well.
Entwhistle was honeymooning on the Isle of Whyte at the time.
Song was recorded "to keep the Rolling Stones music before the public while Jagger Richards are in jail" as support for them.
And publicity for the Who too.
