aight haha so you know what youre talking about. Also a lotta unknown beatmakers still try to find the s950. its price on the market is between 100-200 euros.

So you was chillin at diamonds crib? damn thats dope! 88 was the time when shit really evolved in very different directions. trueschool.

MP 60 yeah man, but thing is very expensive.

    One love

  • @charlyblues I know Lord Finesse still uses it. The first time I saw one was at Diamond D's crib back in 88.( I went to school with him.)I'm sure the converters are what makes it appealing to some today. Its really hard to duplicate that warm sound even with the MPC2000. I'll take the MP-60 over the 950 anyday but these is history so i would keep it. Sort of like the video game system called Colecovison(its a classic)

  • @BXMammal

collectros item? do you even know how many producer still use it?

  • Ensoniqs like EPS16+ and ASR10 at least (which i have owned) has huge variation of possible crossfade loop methods.

One of the most effective for creating smooth loops about almost anything was "bidirectional crossfade loop".

Beutiful stuff.. i dont do that kind of things with computer nowadays -basically because dont have to, but anyway.. :D

And there was also automatic zero spot finder for loops too.

  • Just cut the sample so that the start and end points are at the same amplitude (I always cut them to 0). No more clicking

  • Certain samplers you still need to keep, Akai is one of them, I traded a Prophet 2002 rackmount and regret it, when you want to sustain a sample for long play, the Akai loops in forward mode and "repeats", so you hear the"clicking" sound, the BEST thing about the Prophet 2000 and 2002 was if you sampled an 808 kick for example, when it sustains the sample it playes forward AND in reverse so you don't hear the "start and end points" looping continuously and the sample is more longer and clearer.

  • are you using the mixout on your s950 or do you have some sort of mixer there with the 8 mono outs all connected?

  • A dinosaur in action. Its a good collectors item though.
