Cava Grande, Sicily's mini "Grand Canyon"

A bit West of Noto at the South/East corner of Sicily there is a deep valley, called "Cava Grande" (Large Quarry) carved by water into the relatively high plateau. It looks like a miniature Grand Canyon though geological very different. The heat, the clear stream at its bottom, the trail dug onto its flank and the vast pockets on the North side all contribute to the similarities.
