I have been in the industry for 20+ years.
Hey Peterbilt...I am sure there is oil in KY, but the cost of drilling vs. the return of profit probably isn't cost worthy, also building drilling locations and the pipelines and shipping cost have to be considered. When the time is right, they'll drill.

I know where I'm from in Western Kentucky we have the oil they drilled in the 60's , all they did was cap it and their waiting on the price of oil to go sky high before the open the cap on it , its all geared for the rich folks. The river bottoms here are COVERED in oil , been drilled but never pumped out just capped.

Hey, I'm all in favor of cleaner energy, and that's all fine and good. I'm glad we're working on that.
In the mean time, though, I think we should supplement our foreign oil purchases with new drilling projects in the USA. There has to be a way to do that without wrecking the environment.
