i have this printer but it got some problem wd scan
whenever i try to scan. it takes 2 long by showing "Downloading Application List" then after a while it shows that "cannot retrieve application list ".
Hopefully u will solve my this problem .
Kindly please tell me solution i am waiting 4 ur reply

You are right this is truely a crap printer. I have had it changed twice in less than a year. The scanner does work with wireless. The ink catridges are very expensive

Too bad the printer is a piece of junk. I went through 2 exchanges, the scanner never worked with my mac, the printer never worked with my pc wireless-ly, and even though I replaced the PRICEY ink with official Lexmark ink, the screen shows "UNAUTHORIZED INK INSTALLED...WARRANTY VOID...ETC ETC" incessantly.

nicely delivered presentation HOWEVER ink cartridges are pricey, haven't heard from anyone that can get the scanner to work...

The X4550 is the same machine as the X4580 the only difference are the ink cartridges, the X4580 use unique cartridges you have to buy through Dixons!
