the gentlemen album comes across to me as a concept album. an epic about a young man growing up and the way relationships with women will affect his life, for better or worse. i bought the album originally because the cover spoke to me in an undefinable way. glad i did. its a genius record and it deserves much respect.

Every time i watch videos from this period i'm overcome with the most bitter nostalgia because i can never experience this again. :( It gives me chills of intensity.

i have a vhs of this concert. great songs and quality video for a bootleg. highlights are typical dulli medley's that include 'sympathy for the devil' in the middle of 'turn on the water' and the supremes 'where did our love go' segue's nicely into 'bulletproof'. trying to remember but other songs are what jail is like, faded (i think i've seen this performance posted on you tube), going to town, and blame, etc...
