@GlovesupSwampy Yes, but he is right for the most part though. Because generally... the Danes went West and south to the UK, France, Spain, Italy.. even as far as Jerusalem. The Norwegian vikings went North and northwest mostly to Iceland, Greenland, and Canada. The Swedish vikings went east.. to the baltic countries and russia. Btw. Russia has its name because of vikings from the Swedish area of Rus.So in Swedish it is called Rusland. Estonia's capital Talinn means 'the city of the Danes" etc.

@GlovesupSwampy Wrong. If you were right... how come they besieged Paris for months before the French king gave them untold wealth to leave France? They also besieged Rome for a while and went as far as Israel. The main Viking armies were some of the most organized battling machines at the time. Of course apart from the main armies there were plenty of wealthy chiefs who went to England, Ireland etc to pillage.. and to Iceland, New Foundland to explore.
