YESSSSS YES YES YES THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!!
I've been trying for ages to get Quest for Glory to run on a phone (first tried it with my pocket PC, very slow... but was sooo crazy about trying to play it "ON THE GO".
There needs to be a DOS GAME revolution for the phones and tablets!

I play more retro games, then todays games... and when i get bored with the new games like for xbox 360, I go back to my retro games, and systems like SNES and sega genesis.

Felt like the first time I watched a proper educational video on youtube. Good job.

This is why video games, or regular, plain, board games will never be left behind because of technology.

Impressive essay and it was cool to finally catch a glimpse of the man behind the channel. This retro renewal is really fascinating to me, although I am somewhat of a die hard, since I don't have a smart phone or a pad and have no plans to ever get them. I just recently tried DOS Box on my laptop and was really impressed with it. I may do some computer reviews at some point in the future. Which reminds me, I really miss your normal reviews!

@MobyGamer Go to GOG (dot) com and go to the forum. That should answer your question on the interest in PC retro gaming!

Shadows of Darkness!! My favorite!
Excellent blog. But don't underestimate the number of people with low end laps and DOSBox playing, and people like me, with a collection of over 500 games from 1990 onwards that now finds every game is now available tome to replay via either DOSBox or Virtual Machine!
Also, part of the reason retro.indie gaming has been allowed to grow is the fact we have not had new consoles for 7 years now. This means Fallout 3 is not much different from Oblivion which is not much different from Dragon Age!

@HardWarUK This is a great point about the age of the current generation of consoles. Also I am in no way forgetting low end laptops or the millions of people that play on traditional Windows, Mac and Linux systems, low end or latest gen. This video is just about the new and "alien to the computers of 20 years ago" platforms that exist now as in pads and phones and also what can be attracting this generation of users of such devices to retro gaming.
