The rest of Tennessee until the Virginia border. This video contains the first use of my stove, why I sent back some gear, and deer.

  • Love the video series & how it is titled especially...easier to follow then some other video blogs that I have tried to follow. Great advice throughout & a totally different perspective as opposed to reading trail journals. Did I miss you saying why you are currently off the trail? I did see where you planned to get back on in late August & wondering if you were able to do that. If not, I'm sure you will first chance you get & you will complete it!

  • Yeah I'm going to try to get back on the trail now that my summer adventures are over. In the next couple of days I'm hoping to leave. Thanks for the great compliment... I've got tons of more vids but not the time to put them up just yet.

  • what was your favorite part of the hike? what state was the most beautiful?

  • I can't even say that. It's like asking which part of the moon is the most beautiful when you look at it.

  • I can not wait to do the AT myself. It looks like a great time. thatnks for these videos to help out with ideas. hope you get back on the trail and finish.

  • Great. It was an amazing time and I'll probably get back on in late August to finish up. Many more vids to come, stay tuned.

  • "even on the bad days its not bad." this should be on an AT t-shirt or something

  • akohol is the scourge of mankind :)

  • I really like this series.

  • You are doing a great job. I get the sense of actually being there and experiencing it.

  • Wow! Were you just so fortunate to never be rained or snowed on while sleeping? Or, were you always sleeping in a shelter? I would love to be able to get by without a tent on a thru-hike, but I can't imagine leaving it behind. Thanks for posting the vids!
