The Orthogonal Shuffle is a flourish that I invented (I made it up a while ago, but I haven't thought of the name until the day I made the tutorial). The word "orthogonal" is a synonym for "perpendicular" which in this case refers to the two halves of the deck before and after the first shuffle. They overlap vertically before and horizontally after. Apparently, this move was already invented elsewhere, but I somehow came up with it independently.
The two shots next to the water were taken next to the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, LA on July 4, 2009. I have a video of the footage from that day at my other channel, Math's Vlog.

1:23, you could also pinch at the left corner with your thumb and the top right with index/middle, putting it back into the original faro. then weave it.
