I just can't get enough of your amazing art-videos! It's SO inspiring!! Tell me, when painting your front-trees, do you normally use solid black, or is it just another darker shade of the background colour??

I was wondering have you ever tried to paint in oils, im have started to do so lately and its a really tough median to work in, also im not trying to call you out or anything but i was just wondering, in the painting it doesn't seem to be that much light left in the atmosphere, so how is it that you would be able to make out colors that bright on the tree and wouldn't that side be shadow since its facing away from the sunset, so wouldn't remain darker on that side?

@cwavern Where the sky is most colorful is usually an area where the sun isn't actually setting, It is usually right to the side of the sun. That is what I was doing here. I didn't actually paint the sun setting in the painting, If I had it would have been much brighter behind the trees. If you're a painter, you can use your artistic license as much as you'd like, and exaggerate certain things in the painting. That's why I'm a painter, not a photographer. Thanks for your comments.

@cwavern no problem! I think its important to always question things in art. But its the job of art to exaggerate and push limits, to create directly from the imagination. By the way, I do paint in oils as well. I'm working on some oil videos now. Should be out in a month or so.
