SILVER DINER
In their search for a decent breakfast on the outskirts of Washington, D.C., John and Dana of Frequency555.com stopped in at Silver Diner. To their surprise, the diner is making the transition to being local and organic, something that is far from expected of the traditional American diner. The restaurant is a throwback to the 1950s style diner, complete with tableside coin jukeboxes playing the cheesy 50s Doo-wop and Motown hits that truly create the full diner experience. Dana and John had a delicious breakfast featuring natural and local ingredients, and would recommend the diner to anyone looking for a classic American dining experience with a green twist! The best part is that there are several locations throughout Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia, many of which are located right off major interstates. So if you're traveling and spot a Silver Diner sign coming up at the next exit, we recommend stopping in for a bite!
