Well I think it's because they wanted to slow down the video in the end. You know, that romantic partial slow-motion you see so often in videoclips. In order to get a slow-downed video that woud fit the lyrics, you need to record it with a faster music.

The music is speeded up because the video should be in slow-motion.

@tenajg1 they speed up the song so that in the parody everything is slow motion.

@Parlinear they use it cause its faster and when you put the actual song to it, it slows it down and makes it more accurate trust me it works really good to do that
