NOBODY ever says "Bend It Like Beckham" or anything remotely similar. It was just awkwardly shoe-horned into a film title.
Also, he did score a free-kick like that for Preston. There's a video of it on here somewhere. Apparently he scored from a corner kick too but haven't seen it.

hahah its funny how after watching a gazillion free kicks from Beckham the comentator says: "Can he bend it??....(GOAL) can you believe it!?!? Beckham CAN bend it !" i mean.... NO SHIT HE CAN! hahaha one of the BEST shooters that exists hell freaking yeah he can bend it...
