Some of you may have seen this video before. However, we are trying to send out our message for TEAM JASON for the Cleveland Triathlon. Take a moment and view the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVI8XhNC1a8 Please feel free to send this message to whoever you would like to! It is for a Great Cause!
The United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Greater Cleveland is where Jason receives all of his therapy sessions for his condition of Cerebral Palsy. These therapists are the best of the best and are trained to deal specifically with children and adults that have Cerebral Palsy. If you are a therapist of any sort we dont mean any discredit to you. Dianna and I are very fortunate to have good insurance that covers Jason for all his therapy sessions currently at the UCP of Greater Cleveland. Unfortunately there are many children that do not have the coverage that need the special care. This is the awareness that we are trying to raise! With contributions from yourself or businesses you can help children similar to Jason receive top care! We understand that times are tough, as they are for us as well. If you are unable to donate any monetary value, donate your time, participate in the Cleveland Triathlon.
The Cleveland Triathlon is a sanctioned event that is put on by Pacific Sports, LLC. For every volunteer that helps out with the Cleveland Triathlon on August 8th, 2010 they will donate $10.00 back to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Greater Cleveland. For each participate in the Cleveland Triathlon they will also donate $10.00 to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Greater Cleveland. For every relay team that you set up they will donate $15.00 per team for the relay portion of the Cleveland Triathlon to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Greater Cleveland.
Last year Dianna and I volunteered our services to the Cleveland Triathlon. I was nervous at first not really sure of what to expect. We arrived early and our job was for the bike portion of the race to stand at the end of the track and hold signs that stated Turn Around. There was no job that was difficult. You could be in charge or making signs, passing out water, getting id bracelets off of contestants after they finish the triathlon. These jobs seem small but they are very big in many ways. Needless to say, that because of Dianna and I volunteering last year has inspired us to compete in the triathlon this year!
If you are interested in participating in the Cleveland Triathlon they have 3 different races for you to choose from.
• Super Sprint (300-yard swim, 8 mile bike, 1.5 mile run) 6:45 am
•Sprint (0.5m Swim, 16m Bike, 5k Run) 7:15 am
•Olympic (1.5k Swim, 24m Bike, 10k Run) 7:45 am

As of current Dianna and I are trying to setup a site that if you choose to donate funds it will go directly to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Greater Cleveland. This donation is considered a charitable donation and is tax deductible from your income taxes and has a 501(c)3 filing. This fund will be tracked by TEAM JASON so we will know the amounts donated for the proper recognition!
For any of you that know our son, he has the biggest smile on his face, and always trying to do new things. One of Jasons therapists made a statement to us that really hit home. She said that as a therapist how can she possibly push these kids on a day to day basis if she doesnt push herself. This is the same for Dianna and I as parents. My dad has always taught me to lead by example and dont ask of others that you wouldnt do yourself. How can Dianna and I push Jason to be better if we dont push ourselves to be better!
Please take a moment to watch this video we put together for TEAM JASON and TEAM UCP for the Cleveland Triathlon on August 8th, 2010. I hope that after you view this video you will join TEAM JASON as either a participate or a volunteer!
Thank you and GOD BLESS!
