Let's fire up T-Mobile's new flagship Android-powered phone and see what she looks like!

The first thing you'll notice is that the device's initial boot is a little bit faster than current phones. First boots always take longer than subsequent boots.

Once booted the setup screen is very easy to skip, and equally as easy to find again to input all your login credentials. There are now 7 home screens that you can swipe between -- and the majority of them have been pre-loaded with lots and lots (and lots!) of T-Mobile and Google apps. All pre-loaded apps have been set to automatically update (via the Market's "Automatically update" feature that's present in Froyo devices). The first time you load up the Market you'll start pulling all these updates, which came down relatively quickly considering the several apps that were being updated at the same time.

To see just how fast the device is, take a look at the video!

  • @xXKILAZOMBIEXx its under the battery, so you have to turn off the phone to swap. And its some funky little tray thing that pops up. Its weird. having to turn off the phone to swap cards hasnt ever bothered me though.

  • Where and how do you put on sd card please anybody help

  • @Gurksallad10 I am , ain't I?

  • After watching this video suddenly I felt in love with G2, even though I have HD2. Great video!

  • @Winterfang Then why don't you consider the HTC 7 Pro? It's pretty similar to G2, and it's a Windows Phone.

  • i will be getting this phone tomorrow and hopefully it's a good replacement to my vibrant. although i know my camera on my vibrant is way better than this one. the videos come out more smoother on the vibrant. And i hope tomorrow apple announces the ipad 2 tomorrow.

  • you have amazing videos :) thumbs up.

  • Great video.

  • A Black G2 running Windows Phone 7 would be my dream phone.

  • @FatalityJulz Personally, I enjoy HTC Sense. It's still Android 2.2, but the user interface brings the best from the phone. I have a solution for your problem. Buy the phone, root it, and flash a custom ROM. I suggest CyanogenMod, which gives you custom stock Android 2.2. In the future you might even get Gingerbread 2.3. The How-To section on TheUnlockr(dot)com gives easy instructions. Good luck!
